Ritarihousut
Kaava: Brindille & Twig Harem Pants, 68 cm
Kankaat: Lillestoff Ritarit, tilattu Ompelun ihanuudesta, resori on muistaakseni Myllymuksuista.
Ellin mielestä lohikäärmeen suusta tulee vaaleanpunainen puklu. Ei kai siinä sitten mitään.

I should be updating my Etsy store now. I've been planning it for weeks.
I just need to reshoot some of the project bags.
Also I should check the fabric details and and... I'd rather just knit on the couch.
What a weird project! This is a tiny hat, the sort you plant on top of a fancy hairdo. I still need to work on it, but the rest of the tiny stitches will be hidden inside the hat.
So far I have worked around 30 hours on this project. Beneath the three types of silk fabrics is a pressed felt tophat. Underneath that wrap-around fabric ribbon are eyelets, through which one can easily insert the tips of hat needles to secure the hat on top of one's hair.
Now the shop is loaded with a couple of sorts of items! Sorry for the few pictures with obvious focusing issues :)
There will be more, too! I have a pile of green items to finish, for example.
The most protective mole in the world.
Cheerful helicopters, both in project bags and in Perfect Pouches.
Birdies in love <3
All these yellow lovelies, as well as other colours of the world, you can get from my Etsy store next weekend. I'll give you a heads-up when they start marching there :)
Around seven years ago I bought a black skirt. It was the last one and didn't fit me even then. I haven't worn it once. "Mikä toi on?"
A week ago I felt really frustrated about the doctoral dissertation I was going to attend. All the invated guests should wear all black and I look dead in black, so I don't really own any black clothes. I stood in front of my closet all frustrated when my eyes wandered over a black piece hanging on a hanger. Waaait a minute, what is that?
I remembered the skirt the second I felt the fabric in my hands. A nanosecond later I was seeing scissors and needles. And yes! The measuring tape told me I could do it.No joo, vähät muutokset vei sit hetken aikaa kuitenkin...
I spent hours and hours moving the zipper by hand, but finally I was ready to sit by the sewing machine.
I haven't got a photo yet, but imagine a black a-lined skirt. I'll post a photo later.Jämäpaloista sain aikaiseksi näppärästi (köh) itselleni kauan kaivatun mustan juhlalaukun. Koska mä en kuitenkaan ole mitenkään päin kokomusta ihminen, laitoin laukkuun kirkkaanpunaisen vetoketjun ja vuoriksi luonnollisesti pinkkejä kirahveja.
I was left with enough fabric pieces to make me an evening bag. As I am not a black-wearing gal, I used a bright red zipper and a lining of pink giraffes. What else.
I also got to wore a ginkgo pearl necklace a friend made for me. I had my favorite shoes on. Everything worked.
I woke up and it was 28,5°C outside and 28,1°C inside. Jeesh, no way I will go on with my plan to clean the house today, I thought and being a logical creature started to ply my spinning project. Wool in the heat wave... It was great, though, and the finished yarn is fab. It is having a cool bath at the moment. Secret Wool lahjoitti uusimman Ullan kansikuvapalkinnoksi ison lankapaketin. Muhkeaa, syksyistä lankasaalista tuli kokonainen kilo. Kiitos, Katja!
I had a great post day yesterday. I traded some Wollmeise for Wollmeise and also scored some great fabrics from Etsy. And then! My Ulla magazine cover photo prize from Secret Wool arrived. Thank you, Katja!
Cascade Pure Alpaca, 200 grams of it, is dreamy soft and I like the colour. I am thinking of my mum. She deserves something nice.
A total amount of 800 grams of Cascade 220 Heathers. Half of it is dark red (see above) and half very forest-y green. I was thinking of using these for cardis for my niece and nephew, but I wonder if I should choose superwash wool for them. Do you knit out of non-SW wool for kids?
Just look at those raddishes :D They, alongside with all the summery dots and spots, are already waiting by the sewing machine.
I won't talk about my own wallet, it is old and empty and thus not very interesting. But my significant other surprised me by asking something for himself: A wallet to hold the bus card and loose coins. He said I could decide on the fabric, ha! Pink robots it is.
It's not very pretty, but I think it'll do fine. Two card slots inside a corduroy cover and a coin department on the outside.
I used over two weeks on this. I needed loads of breaks to get the plan chrystallized.
