Mä en jotenkin ollut yhtään hahmottanut, minkä verran miesten sukkiin menee lankaa, kun neuloo paksummasta. Ostin alunperin kahta eri väriä Smartia 100 grammaa kumpaakin. Ekojen sukkien kanssa jouduin hakemaan 100 grammaa lisää ja sukkien painoksi tuli lopulta jotain 160 - 170 grammaa. Näihin yhdistin sen 100 grammaa Smartia ja kahta langanjämää, Sublimen jotain merinolankaa ja Dream in Colorin Classyä.
I had serious issues in figuring out the right amount of yarn needed for DK weight socks for men. I started out with bying two dofferent colours of Smart sock yarn, 100 grams of each. While knitting the first pair I noticed I needed another 100 grams to finish the socks... the pair ended up weighing something like 160-170 grams. For this second pair I combined the 100 grams of Smart with two leftover yarns, some merino yarn by Sublime and Dream in Color Classy.
Tää on pienehkö pari, koko on ehkä joku 42. Ne ekat tekemäni on paljon isommat, joku 46-47. Tuota kolmatta paria arvon vielä, saatan nekin lähettää sivareille.
This pair will fit a small-footed man (EUR42). The first pair I knit was way larger. If I decide to send the darker gree pair out to charity as well, I would have knit three charity pairs this year. I am happy with that.
